It will be a long wait towards the kick-off of the night of Sunday 4 February, when New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles will compete at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. It will be, as usual, an event that will paralyze the entire world, not only for the meeting but also for the show of contour (Justin Timberlake will be the protagonist of the half-time show). To challenge each other in the field will be the first two heads of series of the two Conference, arrived so far with the same record (13-3) but with different paths and especially with virtually opposite expectations.

New England Patriots

How do you not consider Tom Brady's favorite team in a Super Bowl? With this we are the eighth participation for him, with five victories, all under the leadership of Bill Belichick, forming the most successful and prolific qb-head coach duo in history. Will this be enough to get another title? According to bookmakers yes. The Patriots are presented to the most important game of the year after a season of protagonists, always in command of the AFC. In many, after the first opaque performances, they had turned up their noses: New England, however, grew up match after match, thanks to the usual solidity and to an attack led magisterially by Brady (4577 yds, 32 TD, 8 INT). A first offensive unit for conquered yds (394.2) and second for passing yds (276.1), which was able to overcome the absence of two fundamental pawns such as Julian Edelman and Martellus Bennett.

At 40, Tom Brady is one step away from the sixth title, which would consecrate him even more to the legend of this sport. Despite the problem in the right hand (ten stitches after a blow immediately in training), the number 12 has dragged the companions against Jacksonville, coming out at the decisive moment of the challenge (2 TD in the fourth period). The probable MVP of the season can count on a wide range of "targets": from Danny Amendola to Chris Hogan, through Brandin Cooks and the faithful Rob Gronkowski, who is completing the concussion protocol after the blow to the head against Jacksonville and on Sunday there will be . Not only that, the launches of Dion Lewis, Brandon Bolden and James White are added. This is counterbalanced by a not certainly perfect offensive line (three sacks granted in the Championship Game) and above all a defense that grants many yds (366 total, 251.2 passing), but few points (18.2). Accomplice the absence of Dont'a Hightower, very decisive with his sack in triggering the winning recovery in the Super Bowl last year. The defensive division of the Patriots, however, apart from statistics, knows how to win the games: against the Jaguars, in fact, it was a play of defense, which held Bortles in his half of the field, to trigger the drive that led to the TD overtaking. In short, the conditions for another title are all there: the season may not have been exciting but the playoffs, with Tennessee and Jacksonville that have offered more than a headache, New England has shown once again why it is the most winning dynasty of sports Americans from 2000 to today, very close to the umpteenth triumph.

Philadelphia Eagles

Between New England and the title there are the Philadelphia Eagles. It will not be the first time: the two teams have already faced in the Super Bowl XXXIX, in 2005, with the Patriots 24-21 victory. The current season of eagles is difficult to read. After the first few days, Philly's team had emerged as the main candidate for the title; ambitions that have suffered a severe blow with the injury of the holder of the Carson Wentz, protagonist of the season (3296 yds, 33 TD, 7 INT) and still in the running for the MVP award. In the playoffs no one believed in the Eagles, but here they are, playing a firstly anticipated Super Bowl, then dreaming and finally becoming a reality. Thanks to the work of coach Doug Pederson, the architect of a team that in the first part of the season has literally dominated. Above all, the one who strongly believed in Wentz, promoted to owner since last year, when he was a rookie.

But Carson will not be there and Nick Foles will play in his place. How many have been said about him? The qb was found in the difficult situation to lead a team by title, as already happened in 2013 when he replaced Vick. This time, however, the final was different and Nick was able to take advantage of the opportunity. Against Atlanta, he offered a test of extraordinary solidity, without doing damage, while against Minnesota he literally unleashed himself, closing with 352 yds and 3 TD (one with 52 yds). The Super Bowl will be the final exam for Foles, against the most severe master possible, the Patriots. Needless to say, so much will pass from his hands and his impact on the game: against the Vikings he stuttered in the first two drives, before starting the show, which he can not afford on Sunday. Nelson Agholor, Zac Ertz, Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith are ready to receive his launches. Fundamental will be the contribution of the races: Jay Ajayi above all, but also LaGarrette Blount, one of the former players of the match, called not to regret the absence of Darren Sproles, off the start of the season.

The true strength of the Eagles, however, seems to be defense. First on races (79.2 yds), quarter for total yds (306.5), quarter for points awarded (18.4). Above all, 38 sacks, 9 of which scored by Brandon Graham and 5 by Chris Long, another ex. Just the defensive department scored the decisive playoffs: at the Divisional held Atlanta zero points scored in the second half, stopping the decisive drive on the 2 yds, while against Minnesota was an interception brought in TD by Patrick Robinson to put down the match, putting Foles in a position to enter the game and manage the attack. It will require even greater work, however, to stop the Patriots' attack and avenge that 24-21 of 2005. The conditions are similar: even in that season the Eagles arrived at the Super Bowl after losing their star, Terrell Owens ( who came back to that meeting): now it's up to Foles and teammates to change the ending of the story.

The result of the simulation led to the victory of New England with a good 17 points ahead despite a great performance of the running back of Philadelphia. Below you list all my predictions including odds offered by BitcoinRush.io
